Career Structural Geologists
Midland Valley’s consulting group undertake projects for clients on a world-wide basis. These include projects for the on and offshore Oil and Gas Industry, Mining, CO2 Sequestration, and Hazardous Waste encompassing a wide range of structural and tectonic settings at regional to local scale. Our consulting team is also heavily involved in the development process for our software tools and in supporting our links to universities and academic research. Our structural geologists are encouraged to take part in scientific conferences and to publish where possible. We also expect the team to work closely with clients and to be involved in the business as well as the technical process so this is an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and in particular to understand the impact that structural geology has at commercial and societal level. There are opportunities for internal promotion and long term career development within Midland Valley.
If you have a Phd in structural geology and would like to develop this skill to an internationally recognised standard as a specialist we would like to talk to you. Candidates at Phd level must be EU citizens or have significant additional experience.
